Someday I’m going to die during spin class

Wednesday’s workout

Time: 5:15 p.m.

Location: Crunch

The workout: 30 minutes (3.99 miles) on the treadmill, 45 minute spin, 15 minute ab workout (which I kinda dogged. My abs SUCK!)

The music: If that bastard spin instructor plays “Rock Star” by Nickelback as the final climb one more fucking time…

Felt like: climbing a mountain… with a broken toe… in a broken bike clip

Total weekly mileage 22.99/30

I’ve been working my ass off to get to 4 miles in 30 minutes for the last four weeks and I ALMOST made it this week… but not quite. I’m about 85% sure I broke my fourth toe on my right foot slipping in a puddle of beer at a party on Friday and night and thusly falling up the stairs, both knees have got some pretty good bruisage as well. I felt it a bit on the run. Also, work has had its moments this week, and while the running is a bit of a relief because it’s something I can completely dictate, sometimes the thought of being so addicted to and dependent on it to make myself happy pisses me off.

I’ve suddenly noticed myself eating less. I think now that I am keeping mileage consistent rather than increasing, my body knows how much it’s supposed to eat and when it should stop.

As for the spin, it was one of those workouts that I didn’t feel until the very end. And then it was like wtf have I been doing for the last 60 minutes, SHIT. And abs. I actually have the outer lines of the six pack now. I didn’t even notice, someone else pointed it out. Sick. I rock.

The run is over. Now what?
