Saturday’s workout:
Time: 4:30 p.m.
Location: Crunch
The workout: 16 minutes (2.08 miles) on the treadmill, 6 sets of legs lifts (basement was unavailable due to pipe burst because of the temp changes) and 16 minutes (2.12 miles) on the treadmill
The music: iPod on shuffle.
Felt like: once i got to minute 8 of each piece, felt like I hadn’t really done anything.
Total weekly mileage: 30.03/30
I suprised myself, waking up in the suburbs after a pretty intense night of partying and just generally being a bitch.
I was pretty convinced that I was going to bonk, just totally miss on the whole workout. I got home from the ‘burbs via 45 minutes on the red line at 1 p.m. and had a haircut appointment at the beauty school at 2:30, which I knew would last 90 minutes and the gym closes at 6. The math wasn’t looking good, especially considering I hadn’t eaten in 24 hours. Convincing myself to get on the brown line and get to the gym was no small task; I kept telling myself I could miss 30 miles one week and it wouldn’t kill me. Turns out I can’t. Completely obsessed with hitting the numbers.
The run is over. Now what?
