Getting there

Saturday’s workout:

Time: 11:30 a.m.

Location: Lakeview, Lake Shore Path, Streeterville, River North, Crunch

The Workout: Ran from Clark and Wellington to the Grand Avenue exit on the Lake Shore Path, walked a few blocks down Grand, ran from Michigan and Grand to State and Kinzie. Lifted leg weights and did abs at the gym

Music: Spoon (Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga) and Peter Bjorn and John (Writer’s Block)

Felt like: it took less time than it should have. A little weirded out by being that far south without having gotten on the L. Smooth.

Total weekly mileage: 30.5/30

My garmin never got started and I don’t know the exact mileage I ran, but the estimate from the Lake Shore Path signs should make me pretty accurate. I didn’t think it would be warm enough to run outside, but it was and I was happy to be off of a treadmill. Mile three was slow with a strong headwind across North Avenue Beach, but four and five were nice. Nice not to have to do anything else after weights were finished

The run is over. Now what?
